We are very proud to announce the Japanese pianist Hiromi as the first act of this year’s tour in Germany. Pianist and composer Hiromi Uehara, whose passionate and incendiary keyboard work has been a shining light on the jazz landscape since her 2003 debut, believes that the voice that never speaks can sometimes be the most powerful of all. We are delighted to introduce you to this extraordinary talent.

Wir sind besonders stolz, die japanische Ausnahmepianistin HIROMI als ersten Act der diesjährigen Tournee bekanntgeben zu können. Seit ihrem sechsten Lebensjahr erhielt Hiromi Klavierunterricht und stand bereits mit 12 Jahren das erste Mal mit einem Orchester auf der Bühne. Mit 14 Jahren spielte sie bereits mit der Tschechischen Philharmonie, mit 17 Jahren traf sie auf Chick Corea und spielte mit Ihm erste Klavierstücke ein. 1999 ging Horomi nach Boston, um an der Berklee School of Music zu studieren. Ihr dortiger Mentor Richard Evens co-produzierte auch ihr erstes Album, das in Japan 2003 prompt Goldstatus erhielt. Von da an folgten unterschiedlichste Kooperationen, weitere Alben und Solotourneen. Die Presse feierte Hiromi spätestens seit 2006 als das Wunderkind des Jazz-Fusion-Rock. Mit außergewöhnlicher Brillianz vollführt die quirlige Japanerin einen regelrechten Tanz auf den Tasten, bei dem sie ekstatisch auch schon einmal auf dem Klavierstuhl kniend ein Stück beendet. Wir freuen uns sehr, Ihnen dieses außergewöhnliche Talent vorstellen zu dürfen.

Today, the German program of Night of the Proms was officially presented to the press. At the press conference, all eyes were on Anastacia and Mick Hucknall. In November and December, both artists along with Jupiter Jones, Naturally 7, Remy van Kesteren, John Miles, Il Novecento conducted by Robert Groslot and the Electric Band will celebrate classical and pop music in twelve German cities.

Night of the Proms is pleased to announce that Iconic Motown legends The Jacksons will perform in Antwerp and Rotterdam this coming November, sharing the unforgettable songs of The Jackson 5, The Jacksons, and a tribute to their brother Michael Jackson.

These European dates are part of a worldwide Jacksons tour that kicks of this Summer in the United States. The Jacksons tour will feature founding members Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito.

With their infectious brand of funky pop-soul and sunny upbeat material, The Jacksons emerged as one of the biggest pop phenomena of the 1970s. Creating some of the most vibrant pop/R&B of their era, The Jacksons remain an important centerpiece of pop culture today. Along with their immense catalogue of classic hits, The Jacksons have also been honored in the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Night of the Proms concerts in Sweden will take place on the 27th, 28th and 29th of September. Sarah Dawn Finer will be joined on stage by Art Garfunkel, Anastacia, John Miles, Tony Henry, Mans Zelmerlöv and Il Novecento.
