In booking Seal, the tour organizers have managed to get one of the most successful solo artists of the 90s to headline. Seal’s trademark is his distinctive, emotionally rich voice, with which he effortlessly crosses over from soul to R&B and rock. As a Grammy and Brit Award winner he has sold over 15 million records over the course of his career. His breakout hits included “Crazy” and “Kiss from a Rose”. With 2003’s “Love’s Divine” he rose to the top of the charts and since then he has delivered a series of other catchy tunes.
In Alison Moyet, the tour organizers have booked an artist whose career began in the 80s as a singer in the synth-pop band Yazoo. She is well known for her expressive and distinctive bluesy voice as well as her musical breadth and depth. Alison Moyet can move easily between sophisticated pop, chansons, or blues. Milestones of her career, such as “All Cried Out”, “Invisible“ and “Is This Love?“, are still played regularly on radio stations all over the world.
With Div4s as a furtherheadliner, the organizers have an Italian soprano quartet that shines not only because of their voices. The show will be rounded out as always by the symphony orchestra Il Novecento and the FineFleur Choir directed by Robert Groslot. Also back on board is “Mr. Music” John Miles and the Electric Band, who have established themselves over the years as one of the mainstays of this fantastic event. Tickets for the 19 shows in 12 German cities are available at www.eventim.de.
Update 2011-06-26: Seal and DIV4S will also be playing in Antwerp. More information to follow.
